Tom Odell Is Going To A New Tour For Upcoming Album

Tom Odell has officially announced his 2024 UK and European tour dates—his most expansive live run. Kicking off in March, the tour arrives hot on the heels of his upcoming album, Black Friday.

Thus, the journey begins in Glasgow before weaving through Manchester and Wolverhampton, culminating in London. In his hometown capital, the singer will have a two-night residency at the iconic Roundhouse. From there, Odell will head across mainland Europe. He will give shows in all major capitals like Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, and more. Rising star Sofia Isella will join Tom Odell as support in the UK, while Wasia Project takes over for the European leg.

Tickets go on general sale Friday, October 27 at 10 AM BST. However, fans eager to get early access can do so by pre-ordering Black Friday through Odell’s official store before 6 PM BST on October 24. Thus, they can secure a spot in the exclusive pre-sale happening October 25 at 10 AM BST.

Tom Odell and A New Era

This tour marks a significant milestone in Odell’s decade-long career. This career has already earned him BRIT and Ivor Novello Awards and five studio albums. Also, he has garnered a staggering digital footprint. Currently, Odell has 28 million monthly listeners on Spotify, 4 billion total streams, and a social media reach of 8 million.

Hence, Black Friday, Odell’s sixth studio album, ushers in a bold new creative chapter. Intimate and stripped-down, the album finds him recording alone in his studio with just a guitar and his voice. Thus, the artist shows the rawness in his songwriting. The record feels timeless and urgent and has delicate percussion, warm bass, and minimalist string arrangements. It’s an album made not for the algorithm but for the soul.

So far, fans have tasted the new material through two singles—“Somebody Else” and the titular “Black Friday.” The latter has already taken on a life of its own, racking up over 20 million streams and debuting in the UK charts. Also, it has catapulted Tom Odell into the global top 100 most-streamed artists. The track’s emotionally charged lyrics have sparked a wave of user-generated content on TikTok. It has amassed more than 150 million views and counting.

He recently brought that same energy to a stripped-back performance on Late Night With Seth Meyers. It is the latest in a series of transatlantic TV appearances that have helped cement his reputation as a global voice of vulnerability.

Of course, this isn’t Odell’s first brush with a viral claim. His 2013 hit “Another Love” found renewed life in 2022, becoming a protest anthem and social media juggernaut with over two billion streams and 4 million TikTok reactions. The track cracked the Top 10 in the UK and the U.S. Hot AC charts, reaffirming his staying power in an ever-changing music landscape.

With Black Friday on the horizon and his largest-ever tour mapped out, 2024 is shaping up to be a defining year for Tom Odell—one that brings him closer than ever to the audiences who’ve followed his journey from piano prodigy to generational voice.
