Linkin Park Will Perform At UEFA Kick-Off Show
Linkin Park has been announced as the headliner for the UEFA Champions League Final Kick-Off Show, presented by Pepsi. The iconic band will rock the center stage at the Munich Football Arena on May 31.
While the finalists of this year’s Champions League have yet to be determined, the energy on the pitch is guaranteed to be at a fever pitch. Linkin Park, currently on tour for their album “From Zero,” will bring their unmatchable energy to the major European football event.

“This marks a new experience for us as a band,” Linkin Park said. “With our new album and ongoing tour, we’ve been overwhelmed by the fans’ energy and excitement. We can’t wait to bring that same passion to the UEFA Champions League Final Kick-Off Show and perform for the thousands in the stadium and the millions watching worldwide.”
The performance also marks the group’s first major UEFA appearance with new frontwoman Emily Armstrong. She stepped in following the tragic loss of Chester Bennington. Armstrong has quickly won over fans with her powerful vocals and commanding stage presence. Thus, it breathes new life into the band’s beloved catalog. Meanwhile, she is ushering in a fresh chapter for the nu-metal pioneers.
What’s Going To Await Linkin Park in UEFA
To celebrate the announcement, Linkin Park dropped a punchy 45-second video remix that creatively fuses their 2004 hit “Numb.” The remix was filled with the sonic signatures of the football world sound. The mash-up is a vibrant teaser for what’s to come: a genre-defying performance that unites music and sports.
Guy-Laurent Epstein, UEFA’s marketing director and co-managing director of UC3, called the event a milestone in entertainment integration. “This year’s UEFA Champions League Final Kick-Off Show promises to be a spectacular moment, with one of the world’s most iconic rock bands performing live just minutes before the biggest match in European club football. Together with Pepsi, we’re proud to elevate the fan experience with unforgettable entertainment on and off the pitch.”
Pepsi, the show’s presenting sponsor for the ninth consecutive year continues its tradition of blending pop culture with premier football moments. Eric Melis, Pepsi’s VP, highlights the sync of blend and the brand.
“Linkin Park is one of the most influential rock bands of the 21st century, and they perfectly embody our ‘Thirsty For More’ philosophy,” Melis said. “We’re thrilled to bring this collaboration to a global audience from the Munich Football Arena. This show promises to be unlike anything fans have seen before.”
The UEFA Champions League Final Kick-Off Show will be broadcast globally just before the match begins. Fans can tune in via their local broadcasters or stream the performance live on UEFA’s official YouTube channel.
As the world gears up for football’s grandest club finale, Linkin Park is set to deliver a performance that promises to be as unforgettable as the match itself.
