Billie Eilish Gets a New Lullaby Edition of Her Hits

Billie Eilish and her brooding pop anthems might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of lullabies. However, Rockabye Baby is here to prove otherwise.

The beloved lullaby cover series has announced “Lullaby Renditions of Billie Eilish. So, it will feature a dreamy collection of the singer’s most iconic songs, reimagined to soothe even the most restless of infants.

The project will come out on August 15 with a 13-track album that transforms Eilish’s hits into gentle, glockenspiel-laced melodies. All of which will be a perfect fit for a sound sleep.

Thus, spanning all three of Eilish’s studio albums, the project includes stripped-back, instrumental versions of “Bad Guy,” “Happier Than Ever,” and “Lunch.” Also, it will have her 2015 breakout track “Ocean Eyes.” It will twist the Oscar-winning “What Was I Made For?” from the Barbie soundtrack into a surprisingly perfect fit for a lullaby makeover.

Billie Eilish Enters Rockabye Baby’s Pop Star Collection

True to form, Rockabye Baby shared a whimsically animated video for their take on “Bad Guy.” A complete with a yellow-hoodied teddy bear mascot crashing through a wall à la the original music video. There’s even a toy sports car sporting the license plate “DUH.” Thus, it makes a subtle wink to Billie Eilish fans who know every frame of her visuals by heart. It’s absurdly cute and just clever enough to charm the grown-ups, too.

This isn’t the first time Rockabye Baby has taken on a pop star. The lullaby label has previously turned tracks from BTS, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny, and even Wu-Tang Clan into xylophone-heavy chillers. (Yes, Wu-Tang for babies is very much a thing.)

With nine Grammys, an Oscar, and now a lullaby album to her name, Billie Eilish continues to prove there’s no space or age bracket. Her music can’t touch. Even the crib.
