Finn Wolfhard Goes On A New U.K and Europe Tour
Finn Wolfhard is hitting the road. The “Stranger Things” star-turned-indie rocker has announced his “Objection!” UK and European tour. Thus, he is marking his first solo run following the release of his debut album “Happy Birthday.”
The tour will kick off on October 4 at La Maroquinerie in Paris. After that, Wolfhard will travel through Amsterdam, Berlin, Cologne, Manchester, Glasgow, and Dublin, before wrapping things up in London at the Electric Brixton on October 16.
After fronting Calpurnia and The Aubreys, Wolfhard struck out on his own. Earlier this year, he released “Happy Birthday.” The project is a hazy, nostalgic indie rock album that draws from ‘90s alt and lo-fi guitar pop. The record’s lead single, “Choose The Latter,” was a jangly, self-effacing standout. Meanwhile, “Trailers After Dark” showcased his flair for cinematic melancholy.

Finn Wolfhard and His Solo Career Insperations
Wolfhard has long cited his “Stranger Things” castmates as creative inspiration. In particular, Joe Keery (aka Djo) and Maya Hawke. “[Joe] was a gigantic inspiration to me and another mentor,” Wolfhard told NME earlier this year. “While filming, Joe and Maya were part of a fun group chat challenge where they would both write and submit a song every week. And I still text Joe to ask what he thinks about song ideas.”
That connection isn’t just talk. Finn Wolfhard recently joined Keery on stage in Toronto to perform “Flash Mountain,” a deep cut from Djo’s Twenty Twenty.
As for what’s next, Netflix recently confirmed the upcoming “Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 spin-off. But for now, Wolfhard is tuning up his guitar and taking “Happy Birthday” on the road. Additionally, if the album’s raw charm is any indication, these shows are going to hit with both heart and hooks.
