Kings Of Leon Step in as Paramore Withdraws from Latin American Festival Dates

Paramore, the iconic pop-punk trio, has regrettably pulled out of several upcoming Latin American festival dates, citing unforeseen circumstances. In their absence, Kings Of Leon have been announced as the replacement act for the affected shows.

The announcement was made through Paramore’s official Instagram page on January 18, where an Instagram story conveyed the band’s inability to perform at Vive Latino in Mexico City, Festival Estéreo Picnic in Bogotá, and Lollapalooza Brazil in São Paulo.

The statement expressed the band’s gratitude to Kings Of Leon for stepping in and offered apologies for any inconvenience caused, assuring fans that they will see them in the next era.

This withdrawal follows Paramore’s earlier decision to pull out of their headline performance at the ALTer Ego Festival on January 5. Reports suggest that Paramore is gearing up for a new era and a fresh record deal, as indicated by their social media activity.

In December, Paramore generated buzz by clearing their social media pages and displaying a 404 error on their official website, signaling a period of uncertainty about their future. Despite concerns of a potential breakup, the band clarified through Variety that they have no plans to disband but are seeking a fresh start online after parting ways with Atlantic, their previous record label.

While details about the upcoming tribute album featuring Paramore’s cover of Talking Heads’ “Burning Down The House” are known, the release date is yet to be announced. Titled ‘A Stop Making Sense: A Tribute Album,’ it includes covers by 16 artists, distributed by A24 music.

Paramore’s final album with Atlantic, ‘This Is Why,’ received critical acclaim, with NME awarding it a five-star review. The band’s future in terms of signing a new record deal or opting for independence remains uncertain.

In other developments, Paramore is slated to serve as the main support act for Taylor Swift’s record-breaking ‘Eras Tour,’ set to reach Europe in May.
