Lana Del Rey Releases New Song “Henry, Come On”
Lana Del Rey has officially dropped “Henry, Come On,” the first single from her highly anticipated 10th studio album, The Right Person Will Stay, set for release on May 21. The track fans have been awaiting since she teased a snippet on Instagram in January.
With its signature melancholy and movie-like style, “Henry, Come On” continues Del Rey’s legacy of crafting haunting ballads. The track is a window into what promises to be one of her most personal albums yet.
On Thursday, Lana Del Rey reignited buzz by sharing the album’s artwork on Instagram—a romantic, vintage-tinged photo of the artist in a lacy white dress. Additionally, featuring the song title subtly inscribed in the upper left corner. While she opted to forgo a caption, the post tagged longtime collaborators Luke Laird, Drew Erickson, and Dean Reid. Potentially hinting at their role in the recording.
Lana Del Rey and New Album
The Right Person Will Stay was first announced in November 2024, when Del Rey took to Instagram to share her excitement over the 13-track project. “So grateful that my 13 tracks came together with my beautiful work between Luke, Jack, Zach, and Drew Erickson, amongst others,” she wrote. “Happy for you to hear a few songs coming up before Stagecoach, starting with Henry. Love always.”
The timing is no coincidence. Lana Del Rey is set to perform at Stagecoach on April 25—her first major live appearance of the year, before heading across the Atlantic for a string of summer performances in the UK and Ireland.
Interestingly, The Right Person Will Stay arrived after Del Rey initially hinted at a country album titled Lasso. While some country influences may still thread through the new material, the project appears to have undergone a conceptual shift.

In an interview with Vogue Italia, Del Rey offered insight into the evolving direction of the album: “Originally, me and the label were excited because the energy of the music of the album was meant to reflect my new life. Now, I’m not so sure, but I’m usually pretty good with my own timing. I might turn it into something more ‘Southern gothic,’ like it was meant to be from the start, and less country.”
“Henry, Come On” already hints at that mood—rooted in Americana but tinted with a ghostly, Southern charm. It promises to become another defining chapter in Lana Del Rey’s shape-shifting career.
As the countdown to May 21 continues, fans can expect more previews and performances. However, for now, “Henry, Come On” offers a poetic reminder of Del Rey’s enduring effect and narrative power.
