Pink Forced to Cancel Concerts Due to Medical Advice: ‘I Am So Sorry’

Pop icon Pink has been compelled to cancel her upcoming concert in Bern, Switzerland, due to health concerns.

The “What About Us” singer announced the cancellation on Instagram on Tuesday (July 2), expressing regret and explaining that she had to follow her doctor’s advice. “I am so sorry that I have had to cancel my show in Bern this Wednesday,” Pink wrote. “I do everything I can to ensure I can perform for you every night, but after consultation with my doctor and exploring all options available, I’ve been advised that I’m unable to continue with the show tomorrow.”

Pink shared her disappointment, stating, “I was looking forward to being with you, making memories, and sharing our show. I am truly disappointed that we have to cancel.” She added, “Sending love and health to you all, and I really hope to see you again soon.”

The concert was scheduled for July 3 at Stadion Wankdorf in the Swiss capital as part of her ongoing Summer Carnival tour. The tour is in support of her 2023 album, Trustfall, and has seen her perform over 70 shows across Europe and North America, with more than 30 additional dates scheduled through the end of 2024.

Opening acts for the tour include Gayle, KidCutUp, and The Script in Europe, with Sheryl Crow joining The Script and KidCutUp for the North American leg.

This is not the first time Pink has had to adjust her tour schedule. Last year, she postponed a concert in Arlington, Texas, due to a sinus infection and rescheduled two shows in Tacoma, Washington, citing “family medical issues.” The new dates for those performances have been set for September and November, respectively.

While the sudden cancellation in Bern is disappointing, many fans have shown support for Pink’s decision to prioritize her health. “Your health comes first,” one fan commented on her Instagram post. “We’ll be here when you’re ready.”

Pink’s commitment to her fans and her health highlights the challenges artists face while touring. The grueling schedule can take a toll, and ensuring her well-being is crucial for her to continue delivering powerful performances.

As she focuses on her recovery, fans can look forward to her return to the stage. The Summer Carnival tour, with its vibrant performances and extensive setlist, promises to be a memorable experience once she is back on her feet. The tour supports her latest album, Trustfall, which has been well-received by both critics and fans, adding to the anticipation of her live performances.

Pink’s dedication to her craft and her fans remains unwavering, and this temporary setback underscores the importance of health and well-being in the demanding world of music touring. Her fans’ supportive messages reflect the strong bond she has built with her audience over the years.

As Pink takes the necessary time to recover, her fans eagerly await her return, confident that she will come back stronger and ready to deliver the high-energy performances she is known for.
