The End of an Era Rod Stewart’s Final Tour

Rod Stewart, one of the best-selling music artists of all time, has announced that he will retire from rock ‘n’ roll after his 2023 tour. The British singer and songwriter, who has sold over 250 million records worldwide and has had 10 number-one albums and 31 top ten singles in the UK, said that he wants to focus on other genres and projects.

Stewart, who is known for his distinctive raspy voice and his fusion of rock, pop, soul, blues and folk music, said that he feels he has achieved everything he wanted to in rock ‘n’ roll and that he is ready for a change. He said that he will continue to make music, but in a different style and with different collaborators.

“I don’t want to talk about it,” he joked, referring to one of his most famous ballads. “But seriously, I’ve had a wonderful career in rock ‘n’ roll and I’m very grateful for all the fans and the support I’ve received over the years. But I feel like it’s time to move on and explore other avenues of expression. I’ve always loved jazz, blues, country and even classical music, so I want to try something different and challenge myself.”

Stewart said that he will embark on a farewell tour in 2023, which will mark his 60th anniversary in the music industry. He said that he will perform his greatest hits from his six-decade-long career, as well as some new songs that he is working on. He said that he hopes to make his final tour a memorable and emotional experience for himself and his fans.

“I want to go out with a bang” he said. “I want to give my fans the best show possible and thank them for their loyalty and love. I want to make them laugh, cry and sing along with me. I want to celebrate the music that we’ve shared together and say goodbye in style.”

Stewart said that he is not ruling out the possibility of making occasional appearances or collaborations with other artists in the future, but that he will no longer record or tour as a solo rock ‘n’ roll artist. He said that he is looking forward to spending more time with his family and pursuing other interests.

“I’m not going to disappear completely,” he said. “I’ll still be around, doing what I love, but in a different way. I’m excited about the future and what it holds for me. I’ve had a fantastic life and I’m not done yet.”
