Twenty One Pilots Releases a New Single Prior to The Album

After weeks of anticipation, Twenty One Pilots have unveiled their latest single, “The Contract.” Thus, the duo is marking the first taste of their highly anticipated upcoming album, Breach. The new track arrives just months after the band’s seventh album, Clancy, dropped in May 2024. So, Pilots gave the first taste of the band’s next chapter.

As of now, “The Contract” is the sole preview of Breach, set to hit shelves in September 2025. The announcement also comes with the revelation of a North American tour. The tour will start in Cincinnati this September. The band will be hitting the road through late October, with stops across major cities as part of The Clancy Tour: Breach. Hence, this tour marks a continuation of their ever-evolving sonic journey. In this way, they expand on themes explored in their previous albums, such as Trench (2018) and Scaled and Icy (2021).

In a social media post from May, the duo hinted at Breach’s narrative direction. Also, Twenty One Pilots teased that the album would wrap up the long-running arcs of their iconic characters. The fans favorite Clancy and Blurryface, which were first introduced in Clancy and Blurryface, respectively. The band wrote, “Hello Clancy. Hello Blurryface. Let’s finish this.” Thus, they hinted at a closure of sorts after a decade of exploring the lives of these characters.

While the exact release date for Breach remains under wraps, the album’s arrival promises to continue the creative journey that has captivated fans over the years. As their tour dates continue to be released, more details are sure to follow, keeping fans on their toes until the album and tour officially arrive this fall.
