Bring Me the Horizon Brings a New Lo-fi Album
Bring Me the Horizon is once again pushing the boundaries of their ever-evolving sound. The Sheffield-based rock band has revealed a new album, “Lo-files.” “Lo-files” will come out this Friday, July 11.
This project offers a fresh, lo-fi twist on some of their biggest hits. Bring Me the Horizon reimagines 23 tracks in an atmospheric, chill vibe.
Thus, the band has teamed up with producers from the lo-fi scene to transform their songs into dreamy, ambient versions. The project is set to help with relaxation, focus, or simply zoning out.
Bring Me the Horizon and Their New Album
Hence, the album is a surprise release, which was first hinted at on X (formerly Twitter) on July 8. The band confirmed the full details on the following day via Instagram. Fans were treated to ambient snippets of the tracks, along with behind-the-scenes photos from rehearsals and live performances. Hence, they have encouraged their followers to pre-save the album ahead of its drop.
This unexpected project arrives just over a year after the release of “Post Human: Nex Gen.” The album earned the band several 2025 BRIT Award nominations. Among them were Best British Group and Best Rock/Alternative Act. Additionally, the band celebrated a record-breaking achievement in 2024 when their single “Kool-Aid” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Hard Rock Songs chart. So, it made their fifth chart-topping hit. The success of “Kool-Aid” further solidified their dominance in the hard rock genre. Thus, it surpassed Falling in Reverse for the most No. 1s in the chart’s history.
The “Lo-files” release comes as Bring Me the Horizon gears up for a busy summer and fall. The band will headline the prestigious Reading & Leeds festivals in 2025. After which they will go on a North American arena tour later this autumn. This dual approach continues to sharpen their position, BMTH’s status as one of the most forward-thinking and boundary-pushing bands of their generation.
