Chung Ha Drops Music Video for “Eenie Meenie”
South Korean sensation Chung Ha returns with a bang, dropping the music video for her latest single “Eenie Meenie”, featuring ATEEZ’s Hongjoong. This marks Chung Ha‘s first release since her 2022 studio album Bare & Rare, which included the hit single “Sparkling“. The track arrives six months after her signing with More Vision, a label founded by Jay Park.
In “Eenie Meenie“, Chung Ha’s dynamic vocals take center stage as she explores new sonic territories, exclaiming, “‘Cause I’m feeling at my best / I ain’t taking no less than every kinda flavour of a new sensation / I’m taking dives / Oh I wanna lose my mind to the rhythm of a new vibration.” ATEEZ‘s Hongjoong adds his own flair in the song’s bridge.
According to her label, More Vision, Chung Ha aims to satisfy fans’ thirst not only with her stage presence but also with her expanding musical range.
The departure from her long-time agency MNH Entertainment in March 2023 marked a new chapter for Chung Ha after seven years. Reflecting on this transition, Chung Ha expressed initial uncertainty about being an independent artist, admitting, “Even the small things, I didn’t know how to do it.”
Interestingly, Chung Ha revealed that without Jay Park’s intervention, she might have left the entertainment industry to pursue studies overseas.
In related news, Korean-American singer Jessi parted ways with More Vision in January 2024, just nine months after joining the label. While the decision was described as “mutual”, More Vision affirmed its unwavering support for Jessi’s future endeavors.
