Idles Releases Soulful and Emotional Single “Grace” Ahead of TANGK Album

UK-based band Idles has unveiled their latest single, “Grace,” a soulful and emotive track from their upcoming album, TANGK. Following the energetic “Dancer,” “Grace” takes a more introspective turn, urging listeners to extend love to one another.

The song, featuring slow-burning drums and a downtempo cadence, showcases lead vocalist Joe Talbot’s softer side as he appeals to the listener’s emotions with silky vocals and heartfelt lyrics. In the song’s intro, Talbot sings, “Give me grace / Make me pure / When they’re knocking at my door / Make me safe / Away from harm / Hold me in my brother’s arms / Make me pure.”

“Grace” is produced by Nigel Godrich, known for his work with Radiohead, The Smile, and Beck. Talbot expressed the spontaneous nature of the song, stating, “The song came from nowhere and everything. It was a breath and a call to be held. The only words or singing that came from our sessions with Nigel and I needed it, truly. All is love.”

TANGK is scheduled for release on February 16, 2024, via Partisan Records. Idles will accompany the album with a tour, featuring dates across North America, Latin America, and Europe.
