Boygenius Share Music Video for “Not Strong Enough”

American Indie Rock band Boygenius are ready to release their debut full-length album, the record. Released via Interscope, the project will meet its audience on March 31 and will include the new single “Not Strong Enough,” in addition to the previously released tracks “$20,” “Emily I’m Sorry,” and “True Blue.”

The supergroup consisting of Julien Baker, Lucy Dacus, and Phoebe Bridgers, revealed in a press release that the single is “about paradoxically experiencing self-hatred while having a God complex.” “Not Strong Enough” arrives with its music video filmed by the band members themselves.

The visuals follow the trio enjoying the time of their lives and visiting various different exciting sites like an amusement park, a museum, and a resort. The clip captures their fun and young spirit.

In the lyrics, they say: “Black hole opened in the kitchen/ Every clock’s a different time/ It would only take the energy to fix it/ I don’t know why I am/ the way I am/ not strong enough to be your man/ I tried, I can’t/ stop staring at the ceiling fan and/ spinning out about things that haven’t happened/ breathing in and out.”

Boygenius’ the record follows their self-titled debut EP, released in 2018.
